Facilites

Please read our "About" page before booking so you know what facilities we have. We offer "low key" traditional camping suiting campers after relaxation and a quiet space rather than a park holiday.

Booking Arrangements

Bookings should be made online where possible. A 25% deposit payment is required to secure your booking, with the balance payment due 28 days prior to your arrival. The booking system will automatically send you a link to pay the balance close to your due date. Or you can login into the booking system using this link and your booking number to make a payment when you wish to.

All pitch information (availability, type of hookup, sizes etc) are shown in the booking system.

Booking information
We try not to have too many "rules". We run the site based on common sense, in a relaxed space with a respect for each other. However here are a few pointers on what that means for us at Treveague Campsite and how we operate the site to support these goals.

What can go on a pitch ?
We are lucky to have a large amount of space on our site, and we work hard to prevent overcrowding.

Pitch prices are for 2 Adults and either 1 car with one tent/touring caravan/trailer tent/roof tent or 1 motorhome or 1 campervan. There are extra charges for additional cars, children over 5 years of age, dogs, gazebos, awnings and pup tents. The maximum number of people on most pitches is 6 (of which 4 can be adults), and we monitor this proactively to avoid overcrowding on the site and the facilities.

We've noticed that tents and awnings are getting bigger every year, so for 2026 we've restricted some pitches to a maximum of 4 people, and maximum of a 4 person tent. The descriptions of these pitches have been updated.
We do not specify how people set up, but we ask that the sea views are preserved for everyone, and that enough space is provided around you to create a fire break.

A pup tent must contain children less than 18 years old.

A Campervan is something similar to a Volkswagon T5. A motorhome is a standard motorhome, and we have a length limit of 7.5m.
Combination units (e.g. motorhome and caravan, caravan and family tent, two family tents etc) are not permitted on our site, unless the other unit is what we would identify as a pup tent. We do not allow any increases above this such as two tents on one pitch, or a campervan and a tent on one pitch.

Please ensure that you book the correct accommodation at the time of booking.
In particular, take note of the number of tents permissable on a pitch.
If in doubt please talk to us before you make a booking.

Noise on site
Treveague Campsite is a peaceful countryside campsite and so we kindly ask all guests and visitors to respect this and other guests by keeping the noise to a minimum, especially after 10pm. We are not a silent site or a noisy site, but we are a quiet site. If your music or radio can be heard by your neighbours then it is too loud. All music should cease at 10pm.
At all times please be aware and considerate of the people around you, as often people will be resting and/or sleeping earlier than that.

Walkers (and cyclists)
Arriving under your own steam ?
We charge walkers and cyclists just £15 for the first night per tent assuming 2 people per tent as part of the South West Coast Path Way Makers scheme (extras on top of this are as listed below). We have a dedicted quieter area dedicated for walkers so you can head off early without disturbing others.
To qualify you need to be a walker along the South Coast footpath and arrive by foot with a rucksack containing your tent. If a second night is needed then a standard pitch at our standard applicable rate is necessary for both nights.
You do not need to book, but you need to be here before Reception closes (generally 9pm in peak times, but earlier out of peak season).
We always have space for walkers when the campsite is open.
Dogs
The campsite is dog friendly and well behaved quiet dogs are welcome in all areas apart from the shower block. Up to 4 dogs can be booked when you book a pitch. Dogs must at all times be on a lead. We have a dog shower on the site, tie up points outside the showerblock and for 2024 dog ice cream in the Cafe. The beaches around us are all dog friendly all year round, but on some you might need to keep dogs on leads.

For one adult and a dog only there is no additional charge for the dog (do not add the dog in the on line booking system).

We do not charge for Guide Dogs.

We do not accept banned breeds.

Visitors to the Campsite
Your pitch is available to the guests who are listed in your Booking Summary. In certain circumstances we may permit visitors (up to two per pitch maximum) but please notify reception in advance. Any additional guests who stay past 9pm will be charged at the additional person rate and you must not exceed what can go on a pitch. Visitors must park their cars in the additional parking area, not on a pitch.

Groups
A group booking, for us, is more than two pitches. We are very happy to take up to two pitches with family or friends on the pitches. You can use the site map in the booking system to find pitches that are next to each other.

If you are a large group then, in most cases, we would ask you to book elsewhere. However, if you would still like to stay then please phone or email the office before making any booking. We are more likely to approve your request if you have stayed with us before, we have a better understanding of your needs and expectations, or it is mid or low season.
Any large groups who book individual pitches with us without prior agreement will be asked to leave.

Cancellation Policy
A non-refundable deposit is required at booking. Pitch fees cannot be refunded, for instance due to inclement weather, by other reasons not within our control, or by you wishing to vacate your pitch early. The balance of pitch fees are to be paid 28 days before arrival and the booking system will email you 28 days before your arrival.
Subject to space available, and at our discretion, we will try to accommodate movement in dates to bookings up to four weeks before the date of arrival, but may not be able to accept changes after this time. We may charge a £20 administration fee, or other fee proportional to our costs incurred for any requested changes.

We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers your UK holiday in case your plans unavoidably change.
